I have old knee injuries so I don’t run, but I do love long walks for many of the same reasons as you run. The other day I went 4 miles which included a steep hill and felt great!

As for the leaky tap, my sympathies, I have a hopelessly leaky kitchen sink tap and drainpipe which I don’t think my landlord will ever fix.
